If an employee is given a period of hospitalization leave which cross over to the next calendar year, how shall we deduct his Hospitalization Leave?
An employee is entitled to 60 days of Hospitalization Leave which includes 14 days of Sick Leave per calendar year. If an employee was given 2 calendar months of Hospitalization Leave eg. from 1 December 2008 to 31 January 2009 of next calendar year, the actual number of working days in December 2008 shall be counted and to be deducted from 2008 entitlement. The January 2009 Hospitalization Leave shall be deducted in the new 2009 60 days entitlement.
