Notice Period of Part Timer

I am working in the XXX as a part time teacher teaching one day (2hrs) a week only. I am paid hourly and been teaching since beginning of this year. I signed a contract that requires 2 months advance notice for resignation. I need to check if I can serve a resignation notice of 1 month instead of the required 2 months?

You are still required to serve 2 months notice, the notice period is depend on the terms agreed on the letter of appointment but not depends on the length of your working hour.
