Pls advise what is the common penalty for frequent late attendance in Singapore.
It depends on Company’s policy and internal disciplinary framework. Employer should establish proper recording on the progressive disciplinary action executed on the concerned employee for the unacceptable behavior at work, i.e. frequent late attendance. Should employee not improve despite many counseling and warnings, under performance, affecting operation etc, Company can review whether to terminate/dismiss employee’s employment if employee’s performance failed to improve within an agreed timeframe after final warning issued.
