Childcare Leave eligibilty for Non-Singapore citizen children and Singapore citizen children

Question 1.
A female employee (SPR) has two non-SG citizen children,
- first child is born on 02.10.2003
- second child is born on 26.12.2006

Will she be entitled to the 2 days childcare leave up to Year 2012 or up to Year 2013?
It depends on your Company’s childcare leave policy. The leave year for childcare leave will be any 12-month period as agreed by both employer and employee. If there is no agreement, the leave year will be the calendar year by default.

Question 2.
A female employee (SPR) has a two Singaporean children,
- first child is born on 24.08.2004
- second child is born on 05.05.2006

Will she be entitled to the 6 days enhanced childcare leave up to Year 2012 or up to Year 2013?
Same as the above, as it depends on your Company’s childcare leave policy on the 12-month period as agreed by both employer and employee.

Please note that she will then be eligible to the 2-day extended childcare leave after her last entitlement year for the 6-day childcare leave as her child will be between 7 and 12 years.
