Immediate notice while serving notice period

If I tendered on  the 1st of the month serving 1 month notice per contract requirements, but halfway on the 15th, I decided to leave on that day itself. Am I considered to have served 2 weeks notice period or no notice period at all?How much of my monthly salary shall I compensate?

For the mentioned, you have to discuss with your employer whether they will accept your sudden decision. The reason is that you have to serve the notice period and should you not able to serve the notice period, you have to pay the salary in lieu. It depends whether your management will accept that you have “served the 2 weeks” as you are now giving immediate notice to leave the company.
