If an employee goes on
hospitalization leave 2 weeks before her estimated delivery date, is this
considered as maternity leave? Does the diagnosis matter in the
treatment of whether the leave is a Hospitalisation or Maternity leave ?
For sick leave application, you shall always refer to the leave type prescribed at the Medical Certificate (MC) submitted by the employee. Please refer to the MC. You will be seen as abusing employee's benefits if you overwrite her hospitalization leave with maternity leave.
