My employment contract only state my notice period which is 2 months, however it did not state my notice period during probation period (I am still under probation). If I were to resign during my probation and serve 1 month notice do I need to pay another 1 month salary as the employment contract did not state the notice period during probation period?
If there isn't any statement about the probation, contractually you are still required to serve 2 months notice, and yes, if you choose to serve 1 month notice, you are required to pay salary in lieu of notice to your employer.
Suggest that you may want to look through your company policy whether in intranet or handbook, to find some clause about probation.
