Can you please advise if Hospital Leave is calculated based on calendar days or working days?
For your information, I am not covered under the Employment Act as my salary is more than $4,500 a month.
The entitlement for Hospitalization leave is 60 days inclusive of the outpatient sick leave. The leave is applicable only to your working days but not calendar days. So you shall exclude any Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday when you count your actual days consumed. (For your case that you work from Monday to Friday).
Hospitalization Leave (Sick Leave) has been moved from Part IV of employment act to part X, hence you will be covered under the Act.
